Insurance

We have Employers’ Liability insurance to £10M and Public Liability to £10M.

Training

Our operators all have relevant training and qualifications:

• Tree surgery operators have, as a minimum, NPTC qualifications. These cover chainsaws, climbing and aerial rescue as well as woodchippper and stump grinding operations;

• Operators of the MEWP (access platform) are certified with IPAF (International Powered Access Federation);

• Skidsteer operators are certificated by the NPORS (National Plant Operators’ Registration Scheme) and the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).

Best Practice

• All tree surgery work is undertaken to British Standard 3998 : 1989.
• We comply with Health and Safety regulations (eg Health and Safety at Work, Work Equipment, Lifting Operations and Equipment etc), and adopt the guidelines in our working practice. Risk Assessments and Method Statements are prepared prior to work commencing.
• We comply with regulations concerning arisings from tree surgery operations and are registered with the Environment Agency (Waste Carrier Registration No. TWE/675541).
